Introduction

Kalatita Events (Kalatita Eventos), led by Martha Barajas, plans quinceañeras, weddings, and related celebrations across Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire. The new site positions her bilingual planning and design work as a calm, upscale experience rather than a party-warehouse brochure.

The problem

Families choosing a planner for a milestone need emotional clarity fast: Can she handle our event? Does she speak with the whole family in English and Spanish? How do we start? The previous public presence and asset stack didn’t carry a modern boutique brand—or clear consultation conversion—into a production marketing site built for those questions.

Strategy

  • Lead with brand (hummingbird identity, soft rose/mauve palette) and one strong story per page
  • True route-based English and Spanish URLs with shared components, not client-side copy only
  • Prioritize quinceañera and wedding landing pages for SEO and conversion
  • Avoid inventing prices, awards, or fake reviews; keep inquiry next steps honest
  • Ship portfolio and about slots ready for approved photography, with illustrative imagery until client assets land

What was built

  • Full bilingual marketing site (home, services, quinceañeras, weddings, celebrations, portfolio, about, areas served, contact, privacy)
  • Localized EN/ES pathnames and language switcher that preserves page context
  • Site header, mobile menu, and sticky mobile contact actions (call / text / inquire)
  • Brand palette (blush, petal, ivory, dusty mauve, champagne, cocoa) and official logo lockups
  • Portfolio grid with category filters and keyboard-accessible lightbox
  • Validated multi-field consultation form with honeypot and server-side email path (Resend when configured)
  • Metadata, hreflang, sitemap, robots, Open Graph, and JSON-LD for local business, person, services, and FAQs
  • Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights hooks

Technology

Next.js App Router, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Zod validation, Resend-ready inquiry API, and Vercel-compatible static marketing pages.

Outcome

Live at kalatita.vercel.app: a cleaner bilingual front door for Kalatita Events with a clearer service story, consultation path, and brand presence across Southern California—ready for domain cutover and ongoing photography updates.
